Hillary’s Policies Kill Millions of Animals

live export

Make no mistake about this election. If Bernie is elected president, hundreds of millions of animals will be saved each year! Billions during his presidency!

Bernie opposes trade agreements. Trade deals encourage live export and animal slaughter, and prevent the US from banning corpses that were raised and killed in horrific conditions. Hundreds of millions of animals are murdered each year solely because of our trade deals with China, Mexico, Viet Nam, Korea! And the number will grow exponentially if the Trans Pacific Partnership is adopted.

Hillary has supported almost every trade agreement we have, and was a strong supporter of the TPP until Bernie entered the race.

If you care about animals you MUST support Bernie. And if Hillary is the nominee, you MUST support Trump (the only Republican who repudiates trade agreements).

If you don’t care about animals, go vote for whatever petty issue is more important to you than animals.

Animals’ lives are at stake.

This isn’t rocket science.

  1. Bernie is a kind, compassionate man who truly cares about animals and middle class people. Hes against huge corporations and companies like Monsanto. Please everyone, vote for Bernie! He is a good, honest man!!!

  2. Lives won’t be saved. Perhaps fewer will die. If you aren’t brought into existence, then you can’t be saved. If I am brought into existence and told I will die in 6 months, but that others, who were never born, were saved, how am I suppose to react to this?

You hope billions of lives might not be brought into existence with a Bernie presidency, but you don’t know for sure whether this will really happen. As long as the flesh of others is on the menu, the talk of saving lives means nothing to those who aren’t saved.

    • You are right, of course, that those saved are ones never born into slavery and torture. Every single animal trapped in the food system will be murdered. The only ones we can save are those never born or those we can steal. But I consider those we prevent being born into the horrors as having been saved from it. Trade agreements encourage the raping, breeding, enslaving, and murdering hundreds of millions more creatures every year than would be bred and killed absent those trade agreements. Hillary supports them, Bernie does not. To his credit, Trump does not either.

  3. I agree about bernie but not trump! He doesnt give a crap about animals! Sorry but I’d never vote for that ahole. Senator Clinton’s dedication to animal rights earned her a perfect score on the Humane Society’s scorecard, which ranks how frequently the members of Congress vote in support of animals. She cosponsored the American Horse Slaughter Prevention Act, which aimed to end the slaughter of horses for their meat, and the Animal Fighting Prohibition Enforcement Act, which aimed to get rid of dogfighting, cockfighting, and all other types of animal fighting. Additionally, she has been working toward prohibiting schools from serving meat injected with antibiotics. She’s also known to be a pet lover — during her husband’s presidency, their cat, Socks, and dog, Buddy, became beloved icons, inspiring Senator Clinton to publish a book, Dear Socks, Dear Buddy, featuring the letters that children had written to the pets. She donated the proceeds to the National Park Foundation.

Senator Clinton supports the Animal Welfare act, which ensures humane treatment of animals in zoos, circuses, research laboratories, and other facilities, as well as the Humane Methods of Slaughter Act, which makes sure that livestock like cattle and pigs are slaughtered painlessly rather than being cut, scalded, or skinned while still conscious.

She also supports such issues as cracking down on illegal animal fighting, preserving our wildlife, finding alternatives to animal testing, ensuring the safety of pet food, and protecting marine mammals. http://www.seventeen.com/life/school/advice/a11156/spotlight-animal-rights/

    • All of those positions are dwarfed by her support of trade agreements, which cause the murders of hundreds of millions of animals annually. While Trump doesn’t give a shit about animals, his opposition to trade agreements would save billions (BILLIONS! With a “B”!!) of animals. We need to look at candidates’ policies and proposals, not react like automatons to them!

    • She did NOT sign a bill funding enforcement of how animals are slaughtered!
She signed one to humanely euthanize ‘downed’/injured live stock,
but refused to sign the bill on how animals are killed!
Noble of her to sign bills that make her appear like she cares..
dogfighting, horsemeat etc..none of which she can profit from..
Her ties to agricultural companies are too strong to hold them accountable
for slaughtering animals inhumanely, as we all know they do..
No doubt she supports ag gag as well!

‘Senator Clinton abstained from voting at all on Senate Bill 714, which. If it had passed, would have prohibited the use in research of dogs and cats obtained through random sources, which can include theft of family pets and fraudulent response to “free to good home” ads. This bill did not pass and is still being researched.

She also decided not to sign onto a letter to the Agriculture Appropriations Subcommittee seeking funds for enforcement of the Humane Methods of Slaughter Act, Animal Welfare Act, and federal animal fighting law, as well as for programs to address the needs of animals in disaster areas, and to ease a shortage of veterinarians in rural and inner-city areas through student loan forgiveness. The funds were awarded in 2009.’
