Thought Of The Day. May 7, 2016

Instead of posting status updates on Facebook, I am now posting each apothegm, thought, observation, and witticism, here, as a Thought Of The Day.

Today’s Thought:

I’ve been voting for 48 years and been a professional political strategist for 40.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for the political left to change the very character of the Democratic party. We need to throw out Hillary and the Wall Street Democrats who control the party.

It’s even worth losing an election cycle to do so.

Author’s Notes:

I am unaware of any other blog with the Armory’s mission of radicalizing the animal movement. I certainly hope I am not alone, and that there are similar sentiments being expressed by comrades unknown to me.

If you know of other blogs dedicated to animal rights and the defeat of capitalism, please comment with a link.

• Be sure to follow the Armory and share it with your Facebook friends and email contacts, as well as on Twitter, Google, and all other social media platforms. Our influence and effectiveness is dependent upon you!

Natasha Sainsbury, of Good Karma Graphic Design, has joined Armory of the Revolution as Editor, and is responsible for the transformation of the blog’s appearance. Visit and follow her blog V Kind.

• Be sure to visit Armory of the Revolution’s new commissary and bookstore: The Supply Depot

You will find recommended reading on Animal Rights, revolutionary theory, politics, economics, religion, science, and atheism. There is also a section of supplies for animal liberationists, hunt saboteurs, and social revolutionaries. This is all brand new, and we will be adding lots more merchandise in the near future!

Feel free to comment. I encourage open discussion and welcome other opinions. I moderate comments because this blog has been attacked by hunters and right wing trolls. I approve comments that are critical as well as those which agree with me. Comments that I will not tolerate are those that are spam, threatening, disrespectful, or which promote animal abuse and cruelty.

  1. Is Sanders now running for VP? What a cop-out. Also he will support Clinton if/when he loses? What a disappointment.

    • Asked if he would step aside if he were offered the VP slot now, Sanders said, “I think that that is a hypothetical that will not happen.”

That is hardly an indication that he is open to VP! I think the likelihood of Clinton entertaining the idea is zero. But if it were a possibility I would urge Sanders to go for it. I can think of no greater restraint on her than to have Bernie looking over her shoulder and being a constant backstory in the media when she tries to veer of course.

      • The real tragedy is if Clinton gets elected. That Sanders will support the nominee, according to him, is also tragic.

      • I do understand his rationale, even though I disagree with it. By promising to support Hillary in the general he has avoided alienating many uninformed rank-and-file Democrats he would need were he to become the nominee. Once having made his pledge he is loathe to go back on his word. I would imaging Bernie sees a longer view here than I do. If he has backed Hillary and she loses, he becomes the most influential Democrat in the country. If he has backed Hillary and she wins, he is likely planning on being an outspoken critic if she wanders off the reservation. He could never admit it, but he, the Democratic party, and the country as a whole, would be better of if Hillary loses to Trump. I will be doing everything I can do toward that effort!
