Thought Of The Day. July 5, 2016

Instead of posting status updates on Facebook, I am now posting each apothegm, thought, observation, and witticism, here, as a Thought Of The Day.

Today’s Thought:

Were it possible to consign humanity to whatever poverty were required to end the Animal Holocaust, I would do so. But to control human societies requires central government and control of economies. Which is why socialism is the most logical system to employ to reduce animal consumption and set social policy.

Unfortunately, veganism is a goal too many are working toward instead of employing strategies which might have a chance of succeeding. I believe we should be recruiting political and social revolutionaries, vigilantes, and aligning ourselves with radicals opposing capitalism. Socialist societies kill and consume half the animals per capita as do capitalist ones. If the world were socialist, 30 billion animals would be saved each year, which is about 30,000 times the number of animals we in the animal movement save each year.

Armory Notes:

I am unaware of any other blog with the Armory’s mission of radicalizing the animal movement. I certainly hope I am not alone, and that there are similar sentiments being expressed by comrades unknown to me.

If you know of other blogs dedicated to animal rights and the defeat of capitalism, please comment with a link.

• Be sure to visit Armory of the Revolution’s new commissary and bookstore: The Supply Depot

You will find recommended reading on Animal Rights, revolutionary theory, politics, economics, religion, science, and atheism. There is also a section of supplies for animal liberationists, hunt saboteurs, and social revolutionaries. This is all brand new, and we will be adding lots more merchandise in the near future!

Feel free to comment. I encourage open discussion and welcome other opinions. I moderate comments because this blog has been attacked by hunters and right wing trolls. I approve comments that are critical as well as those which agree with me. Comments that I will not tolerate are those that are spam, threatening, disrespectful, or which promote animal abuse and cruelty

  1. Those working toward veganism have a calling. For most of them, their belief in karma and the “inherent” goodness of humans will keep them from becoming revolutionaries in the sense you describe. The most we can expect from them are ALF-type actions, and only from a gutsy few. I’m afraid it’s slim pickings for us. The reality is that most of us who are prepared to give our lives for a cause (or better yet, get the enemy to give his life) don’t go beyond flags or scripture due to failures of the imagination and an unwillingness to engage in the kind of persistent reflection that culminates in true awakening.

    • All too true, Rene! But as in all revolutions, there are a precious few who instigate and organize, a inner circle of radicals who put their mission above all else. We may fail, but it won’t be for lack of trying. Perhaps all we can accomplish is to hand a stronger resolve down to the next generation to continue forward. All I know is that I could not live with myself were I to slow down, never-mind stop!
