Today’s Thought:
There is little doubt that PeTA has focused attention on animal issues and inspired tens of thousands of activists, but it is inaccurate to label the organization as an animal rights group. PeTA is an anti-animal suffering organization.
Their focus is on alleviating suffering. To that end, Ingrid Newkirk, the group’s founder and leader, supports euthanizing animals which might be AT RISK of suffering. PeTA kills animals in its shelters. They support breed specific legislation aimed at exterminating pit bulls, they oppose TNR (trap-neuter-release) of feral cats.
Armory Notes:
• I am unaware of any other blog with the Armory’s mission of radicalizing the animal movement. I certainly hope I am not alone, and that there are similar sentiments being expressed by comrades unknown to me.

Armory of the Revolution 
I applied for jobs with PeTA in 2010 and never got an interview. I remember part of the application process was to make some kind of statement about euthanasia.

Do you think that PETA can be considered panoramically? That is, they maybe over-all about 80% animal rights and 20% anti-suffering. Just a thought.

I would say they are anti-suffering and animal protectionist. They are not an animal rights organization. Nor are most animal groups. There are only a handful of people actually working toward animal rights. Most notably, Steven M Wise and his group of lawyers in the Nonhuman Rights Project. The fight to achieve animal rights is waged in courts and legislatures, or in planning revolution. Animal rights means basic changes in law and government.
