Thought of the Day. Racists and pit bulls. August 20, 2017

Instead of merely posting status updates on Facebook, I am now also posting each apothegm, thought, observation, and witticism, here, as a Thought of the Day.

Today’s Thought:

Debi Day is an animal activist and opponent of BSL (breed specific legislation).

Merrit Clifton, and others who support BSL, have been widely circulating an article accusing Debi Day of being a right-winger who demonstrated in Charlottesville with the white supremacists.

I am a leftist, and have no use for Debi Day’s politics. But I find her far less monstrous than Merritt Clifton, the publisher of that piece.

Clifton wants to exterminate all pit bulls.

Armory Notes:

I am unaware of any other blog with the Armory’s mission of radicalizing the animal movement. I certainly hope I am not alone, and that there are similar sentiments being expressed by comrades unknown to me.

  1. I don’t know that much about Debi Day.

But I don’t understand what seems like a vendetta against pit bulls. If someone gets a bite years ago and wants to kill the whole breed involved, it doesn’t make sense to me. But then hoping for sense on reason from H. sapiens is asking too much.

  2. I agree! We humans can and do get even with each other. But when humans advocate the destruction of some animal, there is no voice loud enough or power powerful enough to protect the animal. We see that everyday in atrocities done to animals. When torturing an animal to death becomes a freak’s, trapper’s, constitutional right.

  3. People like this Merritt Clifton are the ones we need to worry about, not Debi Day. Seems to me that if he believes all Pit Bulls should be exterminated he is the one with “cleansing” in mind and should be watched. After all the Pit Bulls are gone who will be his next target?

  4. I agree, Roland. Both sides in that event had one thing in common: baaaacon! I’ll side with a racist dog lover any day. I don’t give a fuck about the importance such a person places on insignificant human differences — differences which serve as additional proof that the human race is hopelessly twisted.
